Haute off the Press:

Pop. Fizz. Clink! Swoozie’s at The Summit is celebrating ten years of business in Birmingham on Wednesday, October 7. The Exceptional Foundation and local companies join Swoozie’s at The Summit as they TOAST to TEN with special discounts all day and an over the top soiree from 5pm to 7pm.

“The Birmingham community has supported Swoozie’s and our growing business over the past ten years,” says Ashley O’Donnell, Marketing Director for Swoozie’s. “As we toast to ten years in Birmingham, we are showcasing several local artists and purveyors at our event to celebrate Birmingham.”

Local companies to be showcased at the event include:

  • Bradford Billingsley, fashion designer
  • Paint Caroline’s Carrie Pittman, artist
  • State Traditions, clothier
  • Inspirations by Janie, jeweler
  • Zines & Letters, home decor
  • Dixie Creative, jeweler
  • Exceptional Foundation, beneficiary of the event

Customers will receive 10% off throughout the day with an even deeper discount of 20% off from 5 to 7pm. A portion of the day’s sales will benefit The Exceptional Foundation. The first 25 guests to RSVP to swoocrew@swoozies.com will receive a bag full of Swoo. In addition, students who show their college ID during the party will receive an unlimited vinyl personalization pass, $50 printing pass and two free monogramming passes for the month of October. Swoozie’s will be giving away prizes throughout the evening valued at $100 each.

See you there!

Fab Find: Monogram Necklaces

Something about monogrammed jewelry just seems to add a touch of class to an outfit, no?

Looking to add a pop of color to your every day style? I am LOVING these super cute and budget friendly acrylic monogram necklaces, available online at Swoozie’s and The Pink Monogram!  Choose your lettering style (script, block, filigree, etc.), pendant color and chain and enter your initials (or those of a loved one!) and you’re good to go! Swoozie’s also has single-letter options available.

For those of you who prefer a more classic look, diamonds may be a girl’s best friend but The Pink Monogram also features a handcut CZ option with the “look and feel of the real thing” minus the pricetag.  Not interested in (faux) bling?  There are rose gold, sterling silver and traditional yellow gold options as well.  Expect to pay somewhere in the three to four figure range for these pieces (acrylic versions are significantly less expensive).  Look around on The Pink Mongram at your leisure; there are some gorgeous pieces!

These dress up even a tee shirt and jeans or are the perfect touch for your simple spring sheaths.  They also make chic keepsakes for grads and bridesmaids – or treat yourself!
