Style blogger, multimedia journalist, lifestyle expert and digital influencer Alexis E. Barton’s commentary and fashion advice appears weekly via the popular blog Same Chic Different Day, which she launched in September 2011. Her personal style and tips have been featured in Glamour Magazine, B-Metro, The Birmingham News, AL.com, Style Blueprint Birmingham, Skirt.com, Life and Style PR and on WBHJ 95.7 JAMZ. Alexis has appeared as a lifestyle expert on major television networks throughout the state of Alabama, and has partnered with nonprofits, businesses and fashion brands (including the Council of Fashion Designers of America, H&M, Girls Inc., PwC, Macy’s and Belk) to help make the world a more stylish place. Named one of Birmingham’s Most Beautiful People and a Birmingham Trailblazer, Alexis is a sought-after public speaker who provides engaging and informative commentary and tips on living life stylishly. She believes fabulous style can be achieved at any price point, and that while clothes don’t make the man (or woman), improving one’s personal appearance and helping others become comfortable in their own skin can be an empowering process.

Alexis also believes “pretty is as pretty does.” She is pleased to serve her community as a member of The Junior League of Birmingham and is a proud alumna of The University of Alabama. An award-winning journalist and  creative writer who has published in Birmingham Magazine, The Birmingham News, The Huntsville Times, The Mobile Press-Register, The Anniston Star, Skirt.com and Urbanham.com, she has interviewed celebrities and local personalities and covered a wealth of lifestyle topics as a style blogger. Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts (in Interdisciplinary Humanities) and a Master of Arts (in Journalism) degree, both earned at the University of Alabama.
